The Ancient Egyptian Book of the Dead: Writing Through Death Into Life

A Workshop in Creative Writing as part of the Spiritual Autobiography
with Normandi Ellis

Ancient Egyptian scribes saw writing the Book of the Dead as the epitome of spiritual practice. Its prayers for divine grace, life evaluation, maps of inner worlds and transformations mark an ancient quest for self-becoming. In this 90-minute workshop we will map our own inner worlds, transformations and movement toward Spirit.

About Normandi Ellis: Normandi has written five books of fiction, nonfiction, poetry and translation. She coordinates Kentuckyís multidisciplinary youth at risk art programs, is a writer in the schools, and teaches spiritual writing workshops nationwide. She also leads trips through Egypt.
